Little Rock, Arkansas – In a cutting-edge move to cater to the needs of its senior citizens, the city of Little Rock has unveiled a brand new casino shuttle service specifically designed for older adults. Dubbed the “Grandma-Approved” shuttle, the service aims to provide safe and convenient transportation for seniors looking to enjoy a night out at the local casinos.
The shuttle, which is operated by a team of dedicated and friendly drivers, features comfortable seating, ample legroom, and easy access for those with mobility challenges. Additionally, the shuttle is equipped with amenities such as air conditioning, complimentary snacks and beverages, and onboard entertainment to ensure a pleasant and enjoyable ride for its passengers.
“We wanted to create a shuttle service that would not only transport our senior community members to and from the casinos, but also provide them with a comfortable and enjoyable experience along the way,” said Mayor Sarah Thompson. “Our goal is to make sure that our older adults have access to the entertainment and excitement that the casinos have to offer, while also ensuring their safety and comfort throughout their journey.”
The “Grandma-Approved” shuttle service runs on a regular schedule, with pickups and drop-offs available at various locations throughout the city. The service is free of charge for all passengers, making it accessible to seniors of all income levels. In addition, the shuttle is wheelchair accessible, allowing seniors with mobility impairments to easily access the service.
“I think it’s a fantastic idea,” said 75-year-old Mildred Johnson, a resident of Little Rock. “I love going to the casino, but driving at night can be a bit nerve-wracking. Having a dedicated shuttle service just for seniors makes the experience so much more enjoyable and stress-free.”
The launch of the “Grandma-Approved” shuttle service has received positive feedback from the local community, with many applauding the city for its commitment to providing inclusive and accessible transportation options for seniors.
“We are thrilled to see the city of Little Rock taking proactive steps to support our senior population,” said Robert Lewis, director of the Little Rock Seniors Center. “This new shuttle service not only provides a fun and convenient way for older adults to enjoy the casinos, but it also helps to foster a sense of community and social interaction among our senior residents.”
The “Grandma-Approved” shuttle service is set to begin operations next month, with plans to expand its route and schedule based on demand. With its innovative approach to serving the needs of older adults, Little Rock is setting a new standard for senior-friendly transportation services in cities across the country.
