FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA – In a show of solidarity and support for the proposed Tysons Entertainment District and casino, hundreds of Fairfax County workers gathered outside the county government headquarters on Tuesday morning. The workers, representing a wide range of industries including hospitality, construction, and retail, came together to voice their enthusiasm for the project and highlight the potential economic benefits it could bring to the region.
The proposed Tysons Entertainment District, which would include a world-class casino, hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues, has been a hot topic of discussion in Fairfax County in recent months. Proponents of the project argue that it has the potential to create thousands of new jobs, attract tourists and visitors from across the country, and generate significant revenue for the local economy.
“We are here today to show our support for the Tysons Entertainment District and casino, because we believe it will bring much-needed economic growth and prosperity to Fairfax County,” said Sarah Johnson, a hotel worker and member of the Fairfax County Workers Alliance. “This project could create thousands of new jobs in our community and provide opportunities for workers in a variety of industries. The rally, organized by the Fairfax County Workers Alliance in partnership with local labor unions and community organizations, featured speeches from workers, elected officials, and community leaders who all expressed their support for the project.
