Mulvane, Kansas – The Mulvane Police Department gave the all-clear after a bomb threat forced the evacuation of the Kansas Star Casino on Thursday evening.
According to officials, the bomb threat was called in around 8:30 PM, prompting an immediate evacuation of the casino and surrounding areas. Mulvane police quickly arrived on the scene and began a thorough search of the premises. K-9 units were brought in to assist in the search for any potential explosives, but nothing unusual was found.
After several hours of investigation, the Mulvane Police Department announced that the threat was deemed not credible and that all roads leading to the casino were reopened. “We take all threats seriously and responded accordingly to ensure the safety of everyone in the area,” said Mulvane Police Chief, Kevin Palmer.
The evacuation caused some disruption for casino patrons who were forced to leave the premises and wait outside while authorities conducted their search. However, many expressed relief that the situation was handled quickly and efficiently by law enforcement.
“I’m just grateful that the police responded so quickly and were able to determine that there was no real threat,” said one casino patron who wished to remain anonymous.
The Mulvane Police Department has stated that they will continue to investigate the source of the bomb threat and are asking anyone with information to come forward. Authorities have not released any details about the caller or their motive for making the threat.
The Kansas Star Casino has since reopened and is operating as usual. The Mulvane Police Department is reminding the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
