Amidst the glitz and glamour of the new Bally’s Casino in Providence, the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) cut the ribbon on a state-of-the-art casino training room funded by the casino giant.
The training room, located within CCRI’s main campus in Providence, is equipped with cutting-edge technology and resources to prepare students for careers in the fast-growing gaming industry. As one of the newest additions to CCRI’s renowned Hospitality and Casino Management program, the training room will provide hands-on experience in casino operations, customer service, and hospitality management.
The partnership between CCRI and Bally’s represents a significant investment in Rhode Island’s workforce development and economic growth. According to CCRI President Meghan Hughes, the new training room will help meet the growing demand for skilled workers in the gaming and hospitality industry.
“We are thrilled to partner with Bally’s to provide our students with the tools and resources they need to succeed in the competitive world of casino management,” said President Hughes. “This training room will not only benefit our students but also help support the continued growth of Rhode Island’s gaming industry.”
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by local officials, industry leaders, and CCRI students and faculty. Representatives from Bally’s Casino expressed their enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the importance of investing in education and workforce development.
“We are proud to support CCRI and their commitment to training the next generation of gaming professionals,” said a spokesperson from Bally’s. “By providing students with hands-on experience and real-world knowledge, we are helping to build a strong and vibrant workforce for the future.”
The training room is just one of the many initiatives that CCRI and Bally’s are collaborating on to support workforce development in Rhode Island. In addition to the casino training room, Bally’s has also sponsored scholarships, internships, and job placement programs for CCRI students.
As the gaming industry continues to grow and evolve, partnerships like the one between CCRI and Bally’s will play a crucial role in preparing students for successful careers in the field. With the opening of the new training room, CCRI is taking a big step towards providing its students with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the exciting and dynamic world of casino management.
