Q Casino in Dubuque, Iowa is known for its exciting gaming options, top-notch entertainment, and luxurious amenities. But what many people may not know is that the casino is also home to a tight-knit group of employees who have formed a unique bond that goes beyond just being colleagues – they are not quite brothers.
The group, which consists of four employees from different departments within the casino, first met when they started working at Q Casino a few years ago. Despite their different backgrounds and interests, they quickly bonded over their shared love of gaming, music, and good food.
“We just clicked right away,” said Andy, a slot technician at the casino. “We all have different roles here, but we all share a passion for what we do and that’s what brought us together.”
The group, which also includes Mike, a bartender, Josh, a security officer, and Ryan, a gaming supervisor, often spend their free time together outside of work, whether it’s watching a concert, trying out a new restaurant, or just hanging out at one of their homes playing video games.
“We’re more than just coworkers,” said Mike. “We’re like a family. We support each other through thick and thin, celebrate each other’s successes, and always have each other’s backs.”
Their bond has not gone unnoticed by their colleagues and supervisors at Q Casino. “It’s really amazing to see how close these guys have become,” said Sarah, the casino’s HR manager. “They’re always looking out for each other and they bring such positive energy to the workplace.”
Not quite brothers has even become somewhat of a legend at the casino, with other employees often referring to them as the dream team. “It’s like they have their own language and inside jokes,” said one casino employee. “They’re just so fun to be around and they really bring a special energy to the casino.”
As for the not quite brothers themselves, they have no plans of letting their bond fade anytime soon. “We know we’re lucky to have found each other,” said Josh. “We’re like a well-oiled machine at work and we’re always there for each other no matter what. We’re not just coworkers, we’re family.”
