Golden Mesa Hotel & Casino, located in the heart of the Oklahoma Panhandle, celebrated a major milestone in its expansion project with a topping out ceremony on Thursday. The construction team, along with tribal leaders from the Shawnee Tribe, gathered to mark the completion of the highest point of the new hotel tower.
The expansion project, which has been in the works for several months, will add a 10-story hotel tower with over 150 guest rooms, as well as new amenities and gaming space to the existing casino. The topping out ceremony is a significant event in the construction process, as it signifies the completion of the structural frame and the beginning of the interior work.
“We are thrilled to see the progress of our expansion project and to reach this important milestone,” said Shawnee Tribe Chairman, Greg Pyle. “The new hotel tower will provide our guests with a luxurious and comfortable stay, while also enhancing our gaming offerings and overall guest experience.”
The new hotel tower will feature modern and sleek design elements, with spacious rooms and suites, premium bedding, and state-of-the-art technology. In addition to the new hotel rooms, the expansion will also include new dining options, a fitness center, and a spa for guests to enjoy.
The gaming floor at Golden Mesa Hotel & Casino will also be expanded, with new slot machines, table games, and a high limit gaming area. The casino offers a variety of popular games, including blackjack, roulette, and poker, as well as electronic gaming options for guests to enjoy.
“We are excited about the expansion of Golden Mesa Hotel & Casino and the opportunities it will bring for our tribe and the local community,” said Pyle. “We are confident that the new hotel tower and enhanced gaming offerings will attract more guests to our property and help to drive economic growth in the region.”
The topping out ceremony was attended by members of the Shawnee Tribe, the construction team, and local officials, who all expressed their excitement for the expansion project and the positive impact it will have on the community. Construction is expected to be completed in the coming months, with an official grand opening celebration planned for later this year.
