In an exciting development for the Central Valley, a new casino project is set to break ground in Madera County. The project, which has been in the works for several years, is finally coming to fruition thanks to a partnership between the North Fork Rancheria of Mono Indians and Station Casinos LLC.
The new casino, to be called the North Fork Rancheria Resort Hotel & Casino, will be located just off Highway 99 near Avenue 17 in Madera County. The project will include a 200-room hotel, a 70,000 square foot casino, multiple restaurants and bars, and a state-of-the-art convention center.
The groundbreaking ceremony is set to take place next month, and construction is expected to be completed within two years. The project is estimated to create over 1,000 construction jobs and 700 permanent jobs once the casino is operational.
“We are thrilled to finally see our vision for this project becoming a reality,” said Tribal Chairman Bobby Jones. “This casino will not only provide much-needed economic development for our tribe, but also for the entire Central Valley community.”
The North Fork Rancheria Resort Hotel & Casino will be the first casino in Madera County, and is expected to attract visitors from all over California and beyond. The casino will offer a wide range of gaming options, from slot machines and table games to a high-limit gaming area and a poker room.
In addition to the casino and hotel, the project will also include a spa, a fitness center, and a pool complex. The resort will be designed to appeal to both local residents looking for a quick getaway and out-of-town tourists looking to experience all that the Central Valley has to offer.
“We are confident that this project will be a game-changer for Madera County,” said Station Casinos LLC CEO Frank Fertitta III. “We have a proven track record of success in the gaming industry, and we are excited to bring our expertise to this new venture.”
Local officials are also optimistic about the economic impact of the new casino. Madera County Supervisor Rob Poythress called the project “a game-changer for our community,” and predicted that it would bring in millions of dollars in revenue for the county each year.
With construction set to begin in the coming weeks, anticipation is high for the opening of the North Fork Rancheria Resort Hotel & Casino. The project promises to bring jobs, entertainment, and economic growth to Madera County, and is sure to be a welcome addition to the Central Valley’s tourism landscape.
