After a successful debut last year, the Electronics Recycling Event is returning to Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel in partnership with the City of Rio Rancho. The event, scheduled for Saturday, May 15th, will provide residents with the opportunity to dispose of their old electronics in an environmentally friendly and responsible manner.
“We are delighted to once again host this important event in partnership with the City of Rio Rancho,” said John Soliman, General Manager of Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel. “E-waste is a growing problem, and events like this help ensure that these items are properly recycled and kept out of landfills.”
Residents can drop off items such as cell phones, computers, televisions, printers, and other electronic devices at the designated drop-off location in the parking lot of the casino hotel. The event will run from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and is free and open to the public.
“We are proud to partner with Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel to bring this event back to Rio Rancho,” said Mayor Gregg Hull. “Properly disposing of electronic waste is essential to protecting our environment and conserving valuable resources.”
In addition to electronic recycling, the event will also feature educational materials and resources on proper e-waste disposal and the importance of recycling. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the impact of electronic waste on the environment and how they can take steps to reduce their own e-waste footprint.
“We are committed to promoting sustainability and responsible environmental practices,” said Soliman. “Events like this help raise awareness and make it easy for residents to do their part in protecting our planet.”
The Electronics Recycling Event at Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel is just one of the many initiatives the casino hotel has undertaken to promote environmental responsibility. From energy-efficient lighting to waste reduction programs, the casino hotel is dedicated to minimizing its environmental impact and setting a positive example for the community.
“We are thrilled to see the return of this event and the opportunity to partner with the City of Rio Rancho once again,” said Soliman. “Together, we can make a difference and create a more sustainable future for our community.”
Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars and start gathering their old electronics for the Electronics Recycling Event at Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel. With the support of the community, Rio Rancho can continue to lead the way in environmental stewardship and sustainability.
