Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) has announced a major expansion plan for the Dakota Dunes Casino located on the Whitecap Dakota First Nation reserve. The plan includes a significant investment to enhance the existing facility and add new amenities to further enhance the overall guest experience.
The expansion project will see the addition of a new hotel tower with over 100 guest rooms, a state-of-the-art conference center, and a variety of new dining and entertainment options. This expansion will not only attract more visitors to the casino but also contribute to the economic development of the Whitecap Dakota First Nation community.
“We are very excited to announce this expansion project for the Dakota Dunes Casino,” said Zane Hansen, President and CEO of SIGA. “This development will not only provide new and exciting entertainment options for our guests but also create job opportunities and stimulate economic growth in the community.”
The new hotel tower will feature modern and luxurious guest rooms with stunning views of the surrounding prairies. The conference center will cater to corporate events, weddings, and other special occasions, with state-of-the-art technology and amenities to accommodate gatherings of all sizes.
In addition to the new hotel and conference center, the expansion will also include new dining options, including a fine dining restaurant, a casual dining bistro, and a sports bar with a variety of entertainment options. A new entertainment venue will feature live performances from local and international artists, as well as comedy shows, and other events to keep guests entertained.
The expansion project is expected to create hundreds of new jobs during the construction phase and once the new amenities are operational. These job opportunities will benefit not only the Whitecap Dakota First Nation community but also the surrounding areas of Saskatoon and the province of Saskatchewan as a whole.
Construction on the expansion is set to begin in the coming months, with an anticipated completion date in the next two years. The addition of new amenities at the Dakota Dunes Casino will further solidify its reputation as a premier entertainment destination in Saskatchewan and attract even more visitors from across the province and beyond.
