Beloit, Wisconsin – After years of anticipation and planning, the Ho-Chunk Nation is finally set to break ground on their long-awaited casino project on October 25th. The groundbreaking ceremony marks a significant milestone in the development of the casino, which is set to become a major entertainment destination in the Beloit area.
The Ho-Chunk Nation has been working closely with city officials and community members to bring the project to fruition. The casino, which will be located on a 73-acre site near the intersection of Interstates 39/90 and Highway 43, is expected to create hundreds of jobs and generate millions of dollars in economic impact for the region.
“We are thrilled to finally see this project come to life,” said Ho-Chunk Nation President, Wilfrid Cleveland. “This casino will not only provide much-needed economic opportunities for our tribe, but it will also benefit the entire Beloit community.”
The groundbreaking ceremony will feature remarks from Ho-Chunk Nation leaders, local officials, and other key stakeholders. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the construction site and learn more about the project’s design and features.
The casino, which is expected to open in late 2023, will feature a variety of gaming options, including slot machines, table games, and a poker room. In addition to the gaming floor, the facility will also include a hotel, restaurants, a concert venue, and other amenities.
“We believe that this casino will be a game-changer for the Beloit area,” said Mayor Diane Hendricks. “Not only will it create jobs and boost the local economy, but it will also provide a new source of entertainment for residents and visitors alike.”
The Ho-Chunk Nation has a long history of successful casino operations in Wisconsin, with facilities in Baraboo, Black River Falls, Nekoosa, Tomah, and Wittenberg. The Beloit casino represents the tribe’s first foray into the southeastern part of the state.
“We are excited to expand our presence in Wisconsin and bring our brand of entertainment to the Beloit community,” said Cleveland. “We look forward to welcoming guests to our new facility and providing them with a world-class gaming experience.”
The groundbreaking ceremony is open to the public, and organizers are expecting a large turnout. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP in advance to secure their spot at the event. For more information about the project and the groundbreaking ceremony, visit MyStateline.com.
