The Westmoreland County Chamber of Commerce is gearing up to launch a new job fair series at the Hempfield casino, aimed at helping local businesses find qualified employees to fill their open positions. The “We want to make sure we keep the jobs here” job fair series is set to kick off next month and will be held on a monthly basis at the popular casino.
According to Gabe Naylor, President of the Westmoreland County Chamber of Commerce, the job fair series is a response to the growing need for skilled workers in the area. “With the expanding economy in Westmoreland County, there is a high demand for qualified employees,” Naylor said. “We want to make sure that our local businesses have access to a pool of talented individuals who are ready and able to fill their open positions.”
The job fair series will feature a variety of businesses from different industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, hospitality, and retail. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with employers, submit their resumes, and participate in on-the-spot interviews. In addition, job seekers will also have access to career coaching services, resume reviews, and networking opportunities.
“We are excited to be partnering with the Hempfield casino to host this job fair series,” Naylor added. “Their central location and ample parking make it an ideal venue for our events. We believe that this partnership will help us reach a larger audience of job seekers and provide our local businesses with the support they need to thrive.”
The first job fair in the series is scheduled to take place on May 15th from 10am to 2pm. More information about the event, including a list of participating businesses and registration details, can be found on the Westmoreland County Chamber of Commerce’s website. Job seekers are encouraged to come prepared with multiple copies of their resumes and dress in professional attire.
“We are confident that this job fair series will be a great resource for both job seekers and local businesses,” Naylor said. “Our goal is to help match qualified candidates with rewarding career opportunities right here in Westmoreland County. We want to make sure we keep the jobs here and continue to support the economic growth of our community.”
