UPDATE: Door County woman accused of making threats at Oneida Casino scheduled to be arraigned
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – A Door County woman accused of making threats at the Oneida Casino in Green Bay is scheduled to be arraigned in court.
According to court documents, 36-year-old Samantha Jones was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and making terrorist threats after an incident at the casino last week.
Witnesses say Jones became belligerent and began making threats towards casino staff and patrons. Security was called and Jones was escorted out of the building. However, she continued to yell expletives and threats as she was being removed from the property.
Police were called to the scene and Jones was taken into custody without further incident. She was booked into the Brown County Jail and is currently being held on a $10,000 bond.
Jones is scheduled to be arraigned in Brown County Circuit Court on Tuesday afternoon. She faces up to three years in prison if convicted on the charges.
The Oneida Casino released a statement following the incident, saying they take the safety and security of their guests and employees very seriously. They are cooperating with law enforcement in their investigation of the incident.
This is not Jones’ first run-in with the law. She has a criminal record that includes prior convictions for disorderly conduct and assault.
