The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon, located in the bustling city of Bakersfield, California, recently reached a significant milestone in its construction process with a topping off ceremony that was held on Friday. The event, which was attended by local officials, construction workers, and representatives from the Hard Rock brand, marked the completion of the structural framework of the hotel and casino.
The topping off ceremony began with a traditional blessing from a local Native American tribe, honoring the land on which the hotel and casino is being built. This was followed by speeches from key stakeholders, including the project manager and representatives from Hard Rock International, who expressed their gratitude for the hard work and dedication of the construction team.
As part of the ceremony, the final steel beam was lifted into place by a giant crane, adorned with an American flag and a small tree, symbolizing growth and prosperity. Construction workers signed the beam before it was secured, a tradition that dates back to the 1800s and is believed to bring good luck to the project.
The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon, set to open in late 2022, will feature a 400-room hotel, a state-of-the-art casino with over 2,000 slot machines and table games, multiple restaurants and bars, a luxury spa, and a sprawling pool complex. The property will also boast a concert venue, hosting live music and entertainment events throughout the year.
“We are thrilled to celebrate this major construction milestone and look forward to welcoming guests to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon next year,” said a spokesperson for the project. “This development will not only bring much-needed jobs and economic growth to the region, but will also provide a world-class entertainment destination for locals and visitors alike.”
The topping off ceremony concluded with a festive reception, complete with music, food, and commemorative souvenirs for attendees. As construction continues on the property, excitement is building for the grand opening of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon, which is expected to become a premier destination for gaming, entertainment, and relaxation in central California.
