Golden Nugget Casino Danville is gearing up to host its first-ever “Dog Days of Summer” community event on September 13th, with all proceeds going to benefit Vermilion County First, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to helping animals in need.
The event will take place from 10am to 2pm at the casino’s outdoor amphitheater, where attendees can enjoy a fun-filled day of activities and entertainment for the whole family, including live music, food trucks, and games.
One of the main highlights of the event will be a doggy costume contest, where pet owners can dress up their furry friends in their best outfits and compete for prizes. There will also be a pet adoption fair, where local animal shelters and rescue groups will be on hand to showcase adoptable dogs and cats looking for their forever homes.
In addition, there will be a variety of pet-themed vendors selling everything from treats and toys to grooming services and accessories. Guests can also participate in raffles and silent auctions to win fabulous prizes, with all proceeds going towards supporting Vermilion County First’s mission to advocate for animal welfare and provide resources for homeless pets.
“We are thrilled to partner with Golden Nugget Casino Danville to host the ‘Dog Days of Summer’ event,” said Sara Johnson, President of Vermilion County First. “This is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness for our cause and help raise much-needed funds to support homeless animals in our community.”
Tickets for the event are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12, with all proceeds going directly to Vermilion County First. Attendees are encouraged to bring their well-behaved pets on leashes to join in the fun and support a great cause.
“We are excited to host this unique and exciting event for our community,” said John Smith, General Manager of Golden Nugget Casino Danville. “We are proud to support Vermilion County First and help make a difference in the lives of animals in need.”
