The annual LRCR Charity Golf Classic was a huge success this past weekend, raising an impressive $76,000 for various Manistee area charities. Over 100 golfers participated in the event, which was held at the beautiful Manistee National Golf & Resort.
The tournament, which is hosted by Little River Casino Resort, has become a highly anticipated event in the local community, drawing golfers and supporters from across the region. This year’s event featured a mix of local businesses, community leaders, and individuals who came together to support a great cause.
“We are thrilled with the success of this year’s Charity Golf Classic,” said Ron Pete, General Manager of Little River Casino Resort. “It’s always amazing to see the community come together to support those in need, and we are grateful for everyone who participated and donated to make this year’s event a success.”
The funds raised at the event will benefit a number of local charities, including the Manistee County Council on Aging, United Way of Manistee County, The Vogue Theatre, and the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians Tribal Education Department. These organizations provide vital services and support to individuals and families in the Manistee area, and the funds raised at the Charity Golf Classic will help them continue their important work.
In addition to the golf tournament, the event also included a silent auction, raffle prizes, and a delicious dinner for participants. Local businesses and individuals generously donated items for the auction and raffle, further contributing to the success of the event.
“We are so grateful for the support of our sponsors, donors, and golfers who made this year’s Charity Golf Classic a success,” said Pete. “Their generosity will have a meaningful impact on the lives of so many in our community, and we are proud to be able to support these important organizations.”
Overall, the LRCR Charity Golf Classic was a fun-filled day of golf, fundraising, and community spirit. Participants enjoyed a beautiful day on the golf course while also making a positive impact in the Manistee area. The success of this year’s event has set the bar high for next year’s tournament, and organizers are already looking forward to raising even more funds for local charities in the future.
