In a major crackdown on illegal gambling activities, the Hussainialam police have arrested eight individuals for allegedly running a gambling racket in the area. The arrests were made following a raid conducted by the police after receiving a tip-off about the illegal gambling operations taking place in Hussainialam.
According to sources, the police received information about a group of individuals who were involved in organizing gambling activities in the locality. Acting swiftly on the information, a team of police officers led by Inspector Raghav Rao raided a building in Hussainialam and apprehended eight individuals who were allegedly involved in running the illegal gambling racket.
During the raid, the police recovered a large amount of cash, several decks of playing cards, and other gambling paraphernalia from the premises. The arrested individuals were identified as Akbar Khan, Imran Khan, Shakeel Ahmed, Nadeem Khan, Aftab Siddiqui, Sohail Ahmed, Zaheer Abbas, and Irfan Ahmed. All eight individuals have been booked under relevant sections of the Gambling Act and have been taken into police custody for further investigation.
Speaking to reporters, Inspector Raghav Rao stated, “Illegal gambling activities have been a major concern in Hussainialam for quite some time. We have been receiving complaints from the local residents about the increasing number of illegal gambling dens operating in the area. We are committed to cracking down on such activities and ensuring that those involved in illegal gambling are brought to justice.”
The Hussainialam police have warned that they will continue to conduct raids and crack down on illegal gambling activities in the area. They have also urged the public to report any suspicious activities related to illegal gambling to the police.
