On the night of November 15th, a routine evening at the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa turned into a horrifying ordeal for one unsuspecting couple. According to reports from the State attorney’s office, two men followed the couple out of the casino and proceeded to rob and shoot them in a brazen act of violence.
The victims, whose names have not been released to the public, were leaving the casino around midnight when they were approached by the suspects. The men, described as being in their mid-20s, reportedly followed the couple to their car and demanded money and valuables.
In a desperate attempt to protect themselves, the male victim attempted to fight off the assailants. However, his efforts were in vain as one of the suspects pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots at the couple. The female victim was struck in the leg, while the male victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.
Despite their injuries, the couple managed to escape and seek help from nearby casino security. They were quickly transported to a local hospital for treatment, where they are said to be in stable condition.
The State attorney’s office has launched a full investigation into the incident, working closely with law enforcement to apprehend the suspects responsible for this senseless act of violence. “We will do everything in our power to ensure that those responsible for this heinous crime are brought to justice,” said State attorney Michael Smith in a statement.
Meanwhile, the casino has released a statement expressing their shock and sadness over the incident. “The safety and well-being of our guests is our top priority, and we are cooperating fully with law enforcement in their investigation,” said a spokesperson for the Hard Rock Casino.
As the investigation continues, the community is left shaken by this brazen attack that took place in such a public and heavily trafficked area. The State attorney’s office is urging anyone with information on the suspects or the robbery to come forward and assist in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
