The incident occurred at the Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls, Ontario, where Nelly was scheduled to perform a concert. According to reports, security personnel at the casino became suspicious of Nelly and his entourage after noticing a strong odor of marijuana coming from their hotel room. Upon investigating further, casino security allegedly discovered a large quantity of marijuana, as well as other illicit substances, in the room.
Local law enforcement was called to the scene, and Nelly and several members of his entourage were taken into custody. Nelly was charged with drug possession and failing to obtain insurance, while the other individuals involved were also charged with various drug-related offenses.
