PokerStars, the world’s largest online poker site, has announced its plans to host three live tournament events across North America this summer. The trio of events promises to bring together poker enthusiasts from all over the continent for high-stakes action and competitive play.
The first event on the schedule is the PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT) stop in Montreal, Canada. Set to take place in June, this event will feature a series of tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $500 to $5,000. The highlight of the NAPT Montreal stop will be the Main Event, which boasts a guaranteed prize pool of $2 million.
Following the NAPT Montreal stop, PokerStars will head to Las Vegas, Nevada for the World Series of Poker (WSOP). The WSOP is one of the most prestigious poker tournaments in the world, drawing thousands of players from around the globe. PokerStars players will have the opportunity to compete in a number of WSOP events, including the $10,000 Main Event, which offers a guaranteed prize pool of $10 million.
The final stop on PokerStars’ North American tour will be the Canadian Poker Championships in Toronto, Ontario. This event will feature a variety of tournaments with buy-ins starting at $100 and going up to $1,000. The Canadian Poker Championships will culminate in a Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million.
“We are thrilled to bring our live tournament events to North America this summer,” said a spokesperson for PokerStars. “Our goal is to provide players with the ultimate poker experience, whether they are competing in a small buy-in tournament or battling it out for a seven-figure prize pool. We look forward to welcoming players from all over the continent to our events.”
In addition to the live tournament events, PokerStars will also be offering online qualifiers for each of the North American stops. This gives players the opportunity to win their way into the events for a fraction of the cost.
