Welcome back to Day Three of NFL Countdown: One NFL Futures Bet A Day, a series brought to you by the Sports Gambling Podcast Network (SGPN). Each day leading up to the start of the NFL season, we will be highlighting a different futures bet that you can place to win big this season.
Today, we are focusing on the New Orleans Saints and their chances of winning the NFC South division. The Saints have been a dominant force in the division for the past few years, thanks in large part to the play of future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees. However, with Brees now retired, the Saints are facing some uncertainty at the quarterback position.
Despite the loss of Brees, the Saints still have a talented roster and a top-notch head coach in Sean Payton. They also traded for former first overall pick Jameis Winston, who has shown flashes of brilliance in his career but has struggled with turnovers.
The key to the Saints’ success this season will be Winston’s ability to limit mistakes and take advantage of the weapons around him. The team still has a strong defense led by standouts like Cameron Jordan and Marshon Lattimore, as well as a dynamic playmaker in Alvin Kamara.
Currently, the Saints are listed as the second favorite to win the NFC South behind the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With the Bucs returning all 22 starters from last year’s title-winning team, the Saints will have their work cut out for them.
However, with a favorable schedule and a talented roster, the Saints have a real shot at pulling off the upset and winning the division. At odds of +300 to win the NFC South, a $100 bet on the Saints would net you a $300 profit if they are able to come out on top.
So, if you’re feeling bullish on the Saints and think they have what it takes to overcome the loss of Brees and win the NFC South, now is the time to place your bet. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s installment of NFL Countdown: One NFL Futures Bet A Day, where we will be highlighting another exciting bet for the upcoming season.
