Northern Waters Casino Resort in Watersmeet, Michigan will host a powerful and moving event on September 15th, as human trafficking survivor and advocate, Emily Johnson, takes the stage to share her story of survival and hope.
Emily Johnson’s journey through the dark world of human trafficking began at a young age, when she was lured into the industry by a trafficker who promised her a better life. However, what followed was years of exploitation, abuse, and trauma that left her feeling trapped and hopeless.
But Emily’s story doesn’t end there. Through sheer determination and strength, she was able to break free from her trafficker and find a way to rebuild her life. Now, she has made it her mission to raise awareness about human trafficking and help other survivors find their voice and regain their independence.
“I want to show others that there is hope after such a traumatic experience,” says Johnson. “I want to empower survivors to know that they are not alone and that they can overcome anything.”
During her talk at Northern Waters Casino Resort, Emily will share the harrowing details of her experience, as well as offer practical advice on how to recognize the signs of human trafficking and support survivors in their journey to recovery.
“We are honored to have Emily Johnson speak at our resort,” says the event organizer. “Her story is one of courage, resilience, and hope, and we believe that her message will resonate with our community and inspire positive change.”
The event will also feature a Q&A session with Emily, where attendees can ask questions and engage in a dialogue about human trafficking and the resources available for survivors.
Tickets for the event are available for purchase online or at the resort’s box office. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting organizations that provide services and support to survivors of human trafficking.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear Emily Johnson’s powerful story and be inspired to make a difference in the fight against human trafficking. Join us at Northern Waters Casino Resort on September 15th for an evening of empowerment, education, and advocacy.
