After months of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, WinnaVegas Casino Resort in Sloan, Iowa has finally reopened its doors to eager patrons. The casino, which is located on the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska’s reservation, has implemented strict safety measures in order to ensure the health and well-being of both guests and staff.
Upon entering the casino, guests are required to undergo a temperature check and wear a mask at all times. Hand sanitizing stations are placed throughout the gaming floor, and social distancing measures have been put in place to prevent the spread of the virus. Additionally, the casino has reduced its capacity in order to allow for proper distancing between guests.
“We are thrilled to welcome our guests back to WinnaVegas,” said General Manager Steve Matheson. “The health and safety of our patrons and staff is our top priority, and we have taken all necessary precautions to ensure a safe and enjoyable gaming experience for everyone.”
While WinnaVegas has reopened its doors, its sister property Blackbird Bend Casino in Onawa, Iowa remains closed. The decision to keep Blackbird Bend closed was made in order to focus all resources on ensuring the successful and safe reopening of WinnaVegas.
“We are closely monitoring the situation and will reopen Blackbird Bend when we feel it is safe to do so,” said Matheson.
Despite the closure of Blackbird Bend, patrons at WinnaVegas are still able to enjoy a wide array of gaming options, including slot machines, table games, and poker. The casino also offers several dining options, including a buffet and a sports bar, as well as a hotel for those looking to extend their stay.
As the gaming industry slowly begins to recover from the effects of the pandemic, the reopening of WinnaVegas Casino Resort brings a sense of hope and excitement to both the local community and loyal patrons. With stringent safety measures in place, guests can once again enjoy the thrill of gaming in a safe and secure environment.
