The County of Sonoma is seeking the public’s input on potential expansion plans for the River Rock Casino in Geyserville. The proposed expansion would include adding a hotel, new gaming facilities, and additional amenities to the popular casino resort.
The County is hosting a series of public meetings to gather feedback from residents, business owners, and other stakeholders on the proposed expansion project. County officials are particularly interested in hearing how the expansion could impact the local community, including traffic congestion, noise levels, and potential increases in crime.
“We want to ensure that any proposed expansion of the River Rock Casino is in the best interest of the local community,” said County Supervisor Jane Doe. “We value the input of our residents and want to hear their thoughts and concerns before moving forward with any plans.”
The River Rock Casino, owned and operated by the Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians, has been a popular destination for locals and tourists alike since it first opened its doors in 2002. The casino currently features a wide range of gaming options, dining establishments, and entertainment venues.
The proposed expansion plans include the construction of a new 200-room hotel, a larger gaming floor with additional slot machines and table games, new dining options, and a spa and wellness center. The casino also plans to increase its staff to accommodate the additional amenities and services.
“We believe that this expansion will enhance the overall experience for our guests and help to attract more visitors to the area,” said John Smith, General Manager of the River Rock Casino. “We are committed to working closely with the County and the community to address any concerns that may arise during the planning process.”
The public meetings will provide an opportunity for residents to ask questions, voice their opinions, and offer suggestions for the expansion project. County officials will carefully review all comments and feedback before making any decisions regarding the future of the River Rock Casino.
“We want to ensure that the expansion of the River Rock Casino is done in a responsible and sustainable manner,” said Supervisor Doe. “We encourage everyone to attend the public meetings and share their thoughts on how we can work together to make this project a success for everyone involved.”
The public meetings will be held at the Geyserville Community Center on January 15th, 22nd, and 29th at 6:00 pm. Residents who are unable to attend in person can also submit their comments online through the County’s website.
Overall, the County’s efforts to seek public input on the proposed expansion of the River Rock Casino demonstrate a commitment to transparency, community engagement, and responsible planning. By engaging with residents and stakeholders, the County hopes to ensure that any potential expansion of the casino will benefit the local community and enhance the overall quality of life for all who live and visit the area.
