In a groundbreaking development that is set to revolutionize the online gambling landscape in the Philippines, the Gaming Regulators Asia Forum (GGRAsia) has announced plans to launch an online casino platform in partnership with the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) in the fourth quarter of 2024.
The announcement was made by GGRAsia CEO Maria Tengco during a press conference held at the Pagcor headquarters in Manila. Tengco revealed that the new online casino platform would be a joint venture between GGRAsia and Pagcor, with the aim of providing players in the Philippines and across the Asia-Pacific region with a world-class gaming experience.
“We are excited to partner with Pagcor on this ambitious project, which represents a major milestone in the development of the online gambling industry in the Philippines. Our goal is to create a safe, secure, and engaging online casino platform that will cater to the needs of both casual players and high rollers,” Tengco said.
The online casino platform will feature a wide range of games, including slots, table games, live dealer games, and virtual sports betting. It will also offer a variety of payment options, including credit/debit cards, e-wallets, and cryptocurrency, to cater to the diverse needs of players in the region.
Tengco emphasized that player safety and responsible gambling would be top priorities for the new online casino platform. “We are committed to providing a secure and fair gaming environment for all our players. We will implement strict age verification processes, as well as tools and resources to help players manage their gaming activity and prevent problem gambling,” she said.
The launch of the online casino platform in 2024 is expected to generate significant revenue for both GGRAsia and Pagcor, as well as create new job opportunities in the gaming industry. Tengco also highlighted the potential economic benefits for the Philippines, citing a recent report that estimated the online gambling market in the country could reach $2 billion by 2025.
In response to the announcement, Pagcor Chairman Eduardo Año expressed his support for the joint venture with GGRAsia. “We are confident that this partnership will bring significant benefits to the gaming industry in the Philippines, as well as to the broader economy. We look forward to working closely with GGRAsia to ensure the success of this exciting project,” Año said.
The launch of the GGRAsia-Pagcor online casino platform in the fourth quarter of 2024 is sure to make waves in the online gambling industry and attract players from around the world. With its innovative features, top-notch security measures, and commitment to responsible gaming, the new platform is set to raise the bar for online casinos in the region and beyond.
