On Saturday night, the United Way of Broome County hosted its first-ever Casino For a Cause fundraiser at the elegant DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Binghamton. The event, which aimed to raise money for local programs and initiatives, was a huge success, drawing in a crowd of over 300 supporters and raising over $50,000.
Guests arrived at the event dressed to the nines, ready to try their luck at the various casino games set up throughout the hotel ballroom. From blackjack to roulette to poker, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The excitement in the air was palpable as attendees mingled, sipped on cocktails, and placed their bets in the hopes of winning big.

Williams, President and CEO of United Way of Broome County. “The funds raised tonight will go a long way in helping us continue to support the vital programs and services that benefit our community.”
In addition to the casino games, the event also featured a silent auction with a wide array of items up for bid, including sports memorabilia, vacation packages, and gift certificates to local restaurants and businesses. Guests eagerly participated in the auction, raising additional funds for the organization.
