The Gulfside Casino Partnership has unveiled a highly anticipated $405 million plan for a new casino resort in Pope County, Arkansas. The project, which includes a luxury hotel, spa, and convention center, promises to bring jobs, economic growth, and entertainment to the area.
The proposed resort, to be located on a 160-acre site near Russellville, is set to feature a state-of-the-art gaming floor with over 1,500 slot machines and 50 table games. In addition to the gaming options, the resort will also include multiple restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues to cater to a diverse range of guests.
“We are thrilled to present our vision for this exciting new destination in Pope County,” said Gulfside Casino Partnership CEO Terry Green. “Our goal is to create a world-class entertainment experience that will attract visitors from across the region and beyond.”
The resort will also include a 300-room hotel with luxurious amenities such as a rooftop pool, fitness center, and spa. A 40,000-square-foot convention center will be able to host a variety of events, from weddings and corporate retreats to trade shows and conferences.
In addition to the economic benefits, the project is also expected to bring much-needed revenue to the local community. Gulfside has pledged to contribute a portion of its gaming revenues to support local schools, infrastructure improvements, and other community initiatives.
The casino resort is subject to approval by the Arkansas Racing Commission, which is expected to make a decision on the proposal in the coming months. Gulfside is competing with two other casino operators for the sole casino license in Pope County, with the winner set to be announced later this year.
Local officials and business leaders have expressed their support for the Gulfside project, citing the potential for job creation and increased tourism in the area. “This is a game-changer for Pope County,” said Russellville Mayor Bill Pruitt. “We are excited about the prospect of a world-class entertainment venue that will benefit our community for years to come.”
If approved, the Gulfside Casino Resort is expected to open its doors within the next three years, bringing a new era of excitement and opportunity to Pope County. With its luxurious amenities, diverse entertainment options, and commitment to community partnerships, the casino resort is poised to become a premier destination in the region.
