A woman from Atlantic City is looking to take legal action against Bally’s Casino after a dispute over a $1.27 million slot machine jackpot prize. The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, was playing the popular Wheel of Fortune slot machine at the casino when she hit the massive jackpot. However, her excitement quickly turned to disappointment when casino staff informed her that there was an issue with the machine and that she would not be receiving her winnings.
According to the woman’s lawyer, Joe Smith, they believe that Bally’s is trying to unlawfully withhold the woman’s prize. “My client won fair and square and is entitled to her winnings. The casino’s claim that there was a malfunction with the machine is dubious at best and we intend to fight for her rights in court,” said Smith.
The woman, who has been a regular patron at Bally’s for years, is devastated by the ordeal. “I couldn’t believe it when they told me I wouldn’t be getting my prize. I’ve spent so much time and money at this casino, and this is how they treat me? It’s just not right,” she said.
Bally’s has yet to publicly comment on the situation, but a spokesperson for the casino stated that they are investigating the issue and will provide further information once they have completed their review.
The woman’s case has garnered support from other casino patrons who believe that she should be rightfully awarded the jackpot. “It’s a shame that something like this could happen.
