Ameristar Casino in Vicksburg held its annual banquet on Saturday night to honor and celebrate team members who have dedicated more than 30 years of service to the company. The event, held at the luxurious banquet hall at the casino, was attended by over 200 employees, their families, and top executives from Ameristar.
The evening began with a cocktail hour where guests mingled and enjoyed hors d’oeuvres while music played softly in the background. As the sun set over the Mississippi River, the group moved into the main banquet hall where a lavish dinner was served. The menu included a variety of gourmet dishes, from filet mignon to shrimp scampi, all prepared by the casino’s top chefs.
After dinner, the ceremony honoring the long-term team members began. Each honoree was presented with a custom-made plaque engraved with their name and the number of years they have been with the company. The room erupted into applause as each team member was called up to receive their award.
One of the most emotional moments of the evening came when Bob Thompson, the casino’s longest-serving employee, was honored for an astonishing 45 years of service. Thompson, who began his career as a dealer in 1974, has seen the casino evolve and grow into the thriving entertainment destination it is today.

The evening concluded with speeches from Ameristar’s top executives, who thanked the honorees for their dedication and hard work.
