The iconic El Cortez Hotel & Casino in downtown Las Vegas has just announced a massive expansion project that is set to redefine the hotel and gaming experience in Sin City.
The project, which is estimated to cost over $25 million, will see the addition of a brand new hotel tower, a state-of-the-art casino expansion, and a variety of new dining and entertainment options.
The new hotel tower will add over 200 modern and luxurious guest rooms to the historic property, increasing the total number of rooms to nearly 700. Each room will feature contemporary design elements, plush furnishings, and stunning views of the Las Vegas skyline.
The casino expansion will include a larger gaming floor with a wide range of new slot machines, table games, and high-limit gaming options. Additionally, a new sportsbook and poker room will be added to cater to the growing demand for sports betting and poker in the downtown area.
In addition to the hotel and casino enhancements, El Cortez will also be introducing several new dining options, including a gourmet steakhouse, a trendy cocktail bar, and a casual café. These new venues will offer guests a variety of culinary experiences, from fine dining to quick bites.
The expansion project is expected to create over 300 new jobs in the Las Vegas area, providing a boost to the local economy and bringing new opportunities for residents to pursue careers in the hospitality industry.
“We are thrilled to announce this expansion project, which will elevate the guest experience at El Cortez to new heights,” said Alex Epstein, CEO of El Cortez Hotel & Casino. “With the addition of a new hotel tower, expanded casino, and exciting dining options, we are committed to offering our guests a truly unforgettable stay in the heart of downtown Las Vegas.”
Construction on the expansion project is set to begin later this year, with a grand opening planned for the following year. Guests can look forward to a new era of luxury and entertainment at El Cortez Hotel & Casino, while still enjoying the charm and history that has made the property a beloved landmark in Las Vegas for over 75 years.
