YAKIMA, WA – Legends Casino Hotel in Toppenish, Washington is set to host its first ever Pow Wow event on June 15th and 16th. The event, which aims to celebrate and showcase Native American culture and traditions, is expected to draw in hundreds of attendees from across the region.
The Pow Wow will feature traditional dancing, drumming, singing, and storytelling, as well as arts and crafts vendors and delicious Native American cuisine. Attendees will have the opportunity to watch exciting dance competitions, participate in interactive workshops, and learn about the history and significance of Pow Wows in Native American communities.
“We are thrilled to be hosting our first Pow Wow at Legends Casino,” said General Manager John Setterstrom. “It is an important event that allows us to honor and celebrate the rich culture and heritage of Native Americans in our community.”
The Pow Wow will kick off with a Grand Entry ceremony on Saturday, June 15th at 1:00 pm, followed by various dance and drum competitions throughout the day. On Sunday, June 16th, attendees can enjoy a traditional feast and participate in a special closing ceremony to mark the end of the event.
