According to the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency, the state’s six casinos reported a combined total of $163,179,421 in gaming revenue for the month of April. This represents a 24.5% increase from the $131.1 million reported in March, and a 12.1% increase from the $145.5 million reported in April of 2020.
The standout performer for the month was Live! Casino & Hotel in Hanover, which reported a total gaming revenue of $59.2 million. This represents a 5.7% increase from the $56 million reported in March, and a 1.8% increase from the $58.1 million reported in April of last year.
MGM National Harbor, the largest casino in the state, also reported impressive numbers with a total gaming revenue of $62.5 million. This represents a 30% increase from the $48 million reported in March, and a 21.6% increase from the $51.4 million reported in April of 2020.
Other casinos in the state also saw significant increases in gaming revenue, with Horseshoe Casino Baltimore reporting a total of $20.5 million, Hollywood Casino Perryville reporting $7.8 million, Ocean Downs Casino reporting $7.1 million, and Rocky Gap Casino reporting $6.1 million.
