Gun Lake Casino is reaching new heights as it celebrates the “topping out” of its highly anticipated $300 million expansion project. The casino, located in Wayland, Michigan, held a special ceremony to mark the milestone, which signifies the completion of the structural phase of the construction.
The expansion project, which was announced last year, aims to transform Gun Lake Casino into a premier entertainment destination in the Midwest. The project includes the addition of a new hotel tower, a spa and wellness center, a new dining area, and an expanded gaming floor with more slots and table games.

The “topping out” ceremony included a traditional beam signing, where guests and employees were invited to sign the final steel beam before it was lifted into place. The beam was adorned with an American flag and a small evergreen tree, symbolizing growth and good luck for the project.

The expansion project is expected to create over 200 construction jobs and 100 permanent jobs once completed. In addition to the new amenities, the expansion will also bring a significant economic boost to the local community, with increased tourism and revenue expected.
Gun Lake Casino first opened its doors in 2011 and has since become a popular destination for gaming enthusiasts in the region. With the completion of the expansion project, the casino hopes to attract even more visitors and establish itself as a premier entertainment destination in the Midwest.
